Ultra-Efficient Range-Extended Van Driven at Millbrook

Having previously shown you the Revolve van, with only a few pictures to choose from to quench our ECO-fueled excitement. It featured a 100 hp electric motor which drove the front wheels, drawing power from a battery pack which is recharged (if needed) by a 1.4-liter Ford-sourced diesel engine.
According to the official information, the van was no slouch, being able to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.5 seconds - numbers which would put even some cars which are said to be ‘sporty’ under threat. In the video posted here, the van (which apparently has gotten a name change and it’s now called the Emerald ‘something’) is driven around the well-known Millbrook testing facility in the UK, and it by the looks of it, everything seems fine and the van is more than capable of tackling high-speed driving, having a top speed of 130 km/h (81 mph), as well as twisty ‘mountain’ roads.

The van was designed and engineered in the UK, but it will go into production in the US where it will definitely be appreciated. Also, We look forward to hearing more of this interesting van and the small company behind it.
