This is yet another story about passion and heritage. This time, the heritage is involving a father and son bond. Bastien Bochmann was just a little kid when his father bought a Cosmosblack E36 Touring.
That car somehow got stuck in his mind and for the rest of his life he would end up looking for such a car, unconsciously. After having a Golf Mk3 and an E36 he ended up buying a Cosmosblack E36 Touring, just like his father's.
His car, however, is a 323i with various upgrades. It has an AP Coilover set and a lot of optional features. After crashing the car in 2011 he had to put in some serious elbow grease to get it back on the streets.
He had to remake the whole back end, replace one front fender, both front doors, replaced the front bumper, rebuilt the coil overs, re-did some suspension parts and did some engine work too.
After everything was done, he had the car repainted in the original Cosmosblack color and he was able to enjoy his car once more.
If anything was changed a lot on this car, it was the wheels. Over the years an overwhelming amount of wheels came and went out of Bastien's garage, from the first set of OEM Style 32's from a 7 series E38 in 18 x 8″/9″ staggered up to current day 17" BBS RF's.
Everything looks perfect now, as the car is kept just for fun driving and exhibitions because he got himself another BMW for daily use, an E38 7 Series. Be sure to check the photo gallery and the original article on UltimateKlasse.
