Every year, the 4th of July is the day when we flaunt Uncle Sam hats, watch fireworks shoot bright sparks into the endless night sky and salute the ol' red, white & blue. But the Dodge boys aren't traditionalists by nature and the following video shows that best.
The modern-day Dodge brand is so offbeat when compared to that of the late 2000s you wouldn't believe what these guys are doing nowadays. For starters, they've celebrated Independence Day a second time this year in a pretty outlandish way.

How, you might ask? Well, try three examples of the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat breed painted in red, white and blue, a long strip of tarmac and a heavy right foot. Yep, this is the petrolhead's way of celebrating the National Day of the U.S. of America.

If you're curious how much abuse did the Summit Point Raceway endure with this triple burnout Mopar mayhem, try 2,121 horsepower and 1,950 lb-ft (2,643 Nm) of torque, as well as three pairs of ruined Pirelli P-Zero three-season rear tires. But there's something not so obvious but way more magical to the feat you can watch below than the acres of smoke and long skid marks left on that piece of tarmac.

What we're referring to is seeing three units of the most powerful, quickest and fastest four-door sedan in the world (the Tesla Model S P85D doesn't count 'cos it's an electric vehicle) revving their supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8s in unison. Not sure what Dodge and the SRT skunkworks division were thinking when they did this, but now we know that the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat has an ear for good music.
