Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Announces Winners

The 2011 US Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Competition finale took place at the Daytona Progressive International Motorcycle Show during the Bike Week. There were over 40 bikes entered from across the country, including winners from previous Progressive IMS stops. The competition has finally chosen its three custom builders that deserve taking the top prizes in their respective classes.

The purse for this show alone was $14,000. In addition, HD GoPro cameras provided by Star and GYTR were given out to the Freestyle and Performance Custom winners while Harley-Davidson offered up a completely assembled 120 cubic-inch Screaming Eagle race engine for the winner of the Modified Harley class.

Jack McCoy of RCC Sportbike brought his twin-turbo Suzuki B-King, and won first place in Performance Custom category. His custom B-King features a bespoke paintjob, 1340cc Straight Four engine, 21-inch front wheel and radiators relocated under the tail section.

LA Speed Shop owner and builder Chris Richardson won the Modified Harley class for his 1947 Harley-Davidson FL featuring a 74 cubic-inch Knucklehead engine, Springer front-end and various one-off machined parts. The victory earned him the Screaming Eagle engine.

Finally, Kenny Williams of KW Customs brought the Tantalizer, taking the win in the Freestyle class. The bagger has air ride suspension front and back, features a 127cubic-inch V-Twin engine and a 23-inch Performance Machine front wheel. Kenny received $6,000 in prize money as well as an HD GoPro camera from Star.
