Fiat finally released an updated version of the Fiat 500, a move meant to keep the car's popularity in check and attract more customers.
Now we're able to give you the revised Cinquecento's starting sticker in the UK. There, customers will be able to buy the city car for a starting price of £10,890 (or $16,964 at current exchange rates).
The facelifted Fiat 500 will be available in three trim levels – Pop, Pop Star and Lounge – selectable in both in hatchback and convertible versions. Potential buyers can also choose between three engine options, namely a 1.2-litre 69 horsepower mill, the TwinAir 0.9-liter 85 horsepower unit or the TwinAir 105 horsepower plant (another 0.9 turbo).
Standard equipment across the range includes seven airbags, remote central locking, electric front windows, electric mirrors, and LED daytime running lights. All Fiat 500C versions use a fully-electric convertible roof with heated glass rear screen as standard equipment.
Pop Star comes with air conditioning, body-coloured mirror caps with defrosting function as well as 15-inch alloy wheels and a 50/50 split folding rear seat with adjustable rear headrests.
However, clients can top that with 16-inch alloy wheels (a £180/$280 upgrade), a Dualogic robotised manual gearbox (£750/$1,167) with paddle shifters (an additional £110/$171) and a wind stop for cabrio versions (£160/$249).
Things get fancy with the Lounge grade, where clients can order a panoramic, fixed glass sunroof, rear parking sensors, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, front fog lights complemented by a chrome styling kit and a touchscreen Uconnect infotainment system.
There's a bunch of Mopar goodies available for the facelifted Fiat 500 at launch. It includes vintage-style wheel trims, chrome roof mouldings, a rear spoiler and a range of decals for sides and the roof.
