Cars are a form of self expression and nowadays we're able to change pretty much everything about them. Everything, that is, except for what the laws say we're obliged to keep: the same tired old design. For a true petrolhead, especially a supercar owner, it can be a little frustrating that he has to put up with the same boring number plate design that the average Vauxhall Astra has.
Oh sure, you can go off spending millions for a vanity plate to install on your Bugatti Veyron, but we've just been tipped off about something that's much better. A British company called Fourdot has launched a product called "Affinity Plates", which are bespoke number plates, designed by you to match your tastes and the look of your vehicle.

So how does this work? To explain things quite simply, technicians scan the car, which is then 3D-modeled and a special number plate shape is created. After that, you can chose a wallpaper for the background and customize other details, including the shape of the yellow reflector.

Many designs have already been created for popular cars ranging from the Audi A3 to Porsches, Lamborghinis and Aston Martins. If you can't decide what design to get, Fourdot's graphic artists can give you a helping hand and suggest something that matches the car Best of all, these number plates can't be stolen and fitted to other vehicle in order to commit criminal activities, since they won't fit on another car.

"But are they legal?" we hear you ask us. The manufacturers assure us that "Affinity Plates are UK road legal and fully comply to the British standard BS AU 145d vehicle excise ad registration Act."
