It’s always best to get whatever you have to say off your chest, but not if it means blocking the path of a responding ambulance – or any other kind of emergency response vehicle, for that matter.
Two drivers, one working for a London cab company and the other for Uber, got into a screaming match on Euston Road in the British capital the other day. So far, nothing out of the ordinary: this is actually a scene that happens daily in every city around the world, many times.

In getting in said screaming match, these 2 men blocked the road and the path of an oncoming ambulance, which had the sirens blazing and the lights flashing. The incident was captured on camera by a 21-year-old student from the Netherlands, Jeroen, and posted to social media and YouTube.

Jeroen tells the Daily Mail that the only reason the video is so short is because he could no longer stand the stupidity of the situation, so he intervened to make the 2 men see that they were blocking an emergency response vehicle. No one else seemed up to the task, after all.

“I started filming before this incident happened,” Joroen says. “As the two were still arguing while the ambulance was waiting, I stopped recording, and kindly said (I shouted) that the silver cab driver should reverse, because there was an ambulance, which was more important.”

“Once the silver taxi reversed, I requested the other taxi driver to just let it go and just drive a bit further, so the ambulance could make its way through,” he adds.

In the caption to the video, he also says that the Uber driver short-cutted the taxi driver, and the one wouldn’t let the other go without giving him am earful. He explains that the ambulance had to wait a full minute before the 2 moved to make a gap, allowing it to pass.
