Set to unveil between June 26 - 29, the Goodwood Festival of speed will be showcasing brilliant cars from all over the world, including BMW’s own. The Bavarian company will bring its most exclusive cars at the event, including the M5 30 Jahre Edition and the i8.
The latter will be watched in action for the first time in the UK, going up the famous 1.16 mile hill as well as the M5 30 Jahre Edition model. Right behind them will be a special BMW M4 Coupe prepared for this venue alone.
The man behind the wheel of the i8 will be BMW GT Driver, Alexander Sims. He will be the first man to drive the plug-in hybrid sports car in the UK at an official event. While the one driving the special M5 will be Steve Soper.
Celebrating its UK premiere, there will be a BMW M4 Convertible that has been put through the Individual treatment to show the audience what can be achieved through it. The new drop-top M car will start deliveries on the island on September 6, 2014 with prices starting at £60,745 OTR.
Another premiere will be the BMW X4, the second Sport Activity Coupe in the company’s history. However, the SUV will be available sooner than the M car, with deliveries beginning on July 12, 2014, prices starting at £36,595 OTR for the xDrive20d model.
The design of the special, Individual BMW M4 Coupe that will go up the Goodwood hill was created by fans of the brand through a contest organized earlier this year. The winning choice includes Tanzanite Blue for the exterior with a full Merino leather interior and the complete M Performance works on the outside.
This special model will be driven by none other than Tiff Needell and two lucky competition winners that dared to vote and decide the design the car will have. Tiff will also be present at the BMW pavilion afterwards alongside Alexander Sims and Steve Soper for interviews and autographs.
