More and more Texas supercar owners turbocharge their rides nowadays, and where else would such machines turn up than at a recent Texas Speed Syndicate simulated street racing event, called King of the Street.
Exactly the kind of cars you, and us, were expecting turned up for the event. The video linked here shows two Underground Racing Gallardos, both with twin-turbo systems which turned up for the 1500+hp category. They were pitted against the hugely-powerful AMS Nissan GTR ‘Alpha Omega’ package which develops an astonishing 1,601 hp. The result is not what you’d expect from a race like this, with both Lambos anihilating the GT-R, despite its huge power output.
It just goes to show that power isn’t always everything, though when it comes to the GT-R, we were honestly expecting it to handle its power better than the Gallardos, but apparently it’s not so.
