About a week ago Chevrolet revealed that Camaro pony car will get a new color for the 2014 model year - the Deep Magenta Metallic hue previously offered on the Sonic subcompact.
Although GM has yet to unveil the magenta Camaro, which is scheduled to break cover during the 2014 Chicago Auto Show later this month, the folks over at Camaro5.com claim the manufacturer released a photo of a two-toned Deep Magenta Metallic ZL1 on their website recently.
The picture is clearly a photoshoped version of an already existing photo of the 2014 Camaro, but that’s the least of its problems. The color combo is horrendous and we do hope that Chevy hasn’t gone bananas and this is just a meaningless sneak peek. If this photo really belongs to Chevy that is.
Anyway, Chevrolet marketing manager for performance cars said the Deep Magenta Metallic will be a car “you will be able to see it a couple of miles away” last week. That can only mean it will be quite spectacular, so we’d stick around for preliminary photos from Chicago if we were you.
