Two-Tone 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Is Your Chance to Own a SEMA Monster

As part of our Muscle Car Month coverage, we focused more on the older cars, the ones that have shaped the segment ever since its beginning. But the more modern machines can be equally as exciting, provided the garages handling the build know what they are doing.

An Arizona-based shop by the name of Cordes Performance Racing sure seems to fit that category. After all, you don’t go to an event the magnitude of SEMA if you’re not confident you have something to show off with.

Back in 2017, Cordes landed in Vegas with an extreme version of the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. Already one of the most potent variants of the stock model, the ZL1 was taken a step further thanks to some clever tuning and simple design.

The stock engine of the car, mated to a 6-speed automatic, was slammed with a Stage 2.5 performance package, sending the power output above 600 hp – not necessarily an insanely big increase, but enough to make a difference in times of need.

To visually back the performance upgrades, the garage went for a custom paint job that called for a Sterling Silver two-tone to be sprayed over the original black body of the car. The front end was made more aggressive with the addition of a T-Rex Phantom grille, and the entire stance of the Camaro was changed thanks to the use of Eibach suspension and 22-inch wheels wrapped in Toyo performance tires.

The interior has been completely replaced and it now comes as a leather and suede combination in red, black and silver.

The custom 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is listed as for sale as part of the Barrett-Jackson online auction taking place this week. With 4 days left in the bidding at the time of this writing, the tally is at $14,250, lower than the reserve.
