Cars are some of the worst places in the world when it comes to mixing gas and fire. It's not like this needs any confirmation and yet two teenagers recently discovered this the hard way. Allow us to rephrase that - the disastrous way.
The video below shows the two teens sitting inside a car that was reportedly the subject of a gas leak, with the one in the driver's seat appearing to be playing with laughing gas, while the boy in the back seat uses a lighter.

The rear seat occupant instantly catches fire, with the flames engulfing his head, while the teenager in the driver's seat has a similar fate a few fractions of a second later.

The footage is one of the most shocking we've seen this year, with the two screaming as they try to get out of the fiery cabin of the vehicle. At this point, we can no longer see them, but the soundtrack makes everything even more terrifying.

The details are scarce, but at least they are positive

This website offers some details on the unfortunate incident. Using a translation that's as rough as they get, we understand the two teenagers in question are brothers.

More importantly, it seems they escaped the incident without major consequences. It appears that one of them has offered a statement, explaining that he got burns on six percent of his body following the fiery episode.

Nevertheless, he is thankful for the fact that both him and his brother are now OK.

Speaking of combustion, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out things could have gone much worse for the two. From their burns to the car itself going up in flames, there are plenty of frightening scenarios that could've turned this into an even darker story.
