The guys from Renault wanted to showcase their electric vehicle range, so they decided to release footage that portrays two Zoes racing on a 1.9 mile (3 km) long track.
What is interesting about this video is that the track is a life-size Scalextric one and it’s in downtown London. According to Renault UK Marketing Director, the goal was to show "the benefits of electric models in urban areas,” and this was the “perfect scenario.”

If you take a look at the three-minute long film you’ll be able to see that the vehicles have some specially-designed braids that help them stay on the Scalextric road as they are being remotely controlled from a helicopter.

We must admit that it would have been pretty awesome to have Renault’s Zoes models race like that. Even so, they attracted some attention to their compact and stylish vehicles, quite suitable for urban racing if we were believe the video.
