It goes without saying that Ducati is a long-standing symbol of high-performance sport machinery. This endures in spite of all the less fortunate periods which sometimes shed a bad light on the Italian manufacturer. Even so, Borgo Panigale is one of the synonyms for “high tech”, “fast sport bikes”, “adrenaline” and so on, as the list could stretch forever.
Another interesting fact about Ducati is observing that there are relatively few bikes modified for upping their tech specs. Some say that this is because the bikes are very expensive and therefore hard to get, and those who finally claw one are no longer that willing to start ownership with the hack saw in one hand and the welding torch in the other. And maybe contemplating a torn-down engine, which is awaiting for hotter cams or a turbo. Others say it’s just impolite to do such things to a Ducati…
We’ve seen people messing with Diavels, adding turbine chargers and hilarious amounts of power to the bikes, but modding a Ducati the way other bikes get “mauled” is rather rare. So that’s why we’re bringing you this custom monstrosity, showing that “Ducati impiety” can produce very interesting results.
While we’re no Ducati specialists, these engines are definitely liquid-cooled, and judging by their size we can at least suppose we’re looking at big-bore ones, possibly the Testastretta units powering the aforementioned Diavel.
Those with more extensive Ducati expertise are welcome to correct us and bring light into the matter. Too bad we don’t get to see this rolling down a track. By the way, are we the only ones who believe the rear tire could have been wider?
