Celebrating 95 years of existence and over 50 million cars sold, the French will be bringing all their best in Switzerland, to impress the audience and try to make a small comeback as their numbers have been falling lately.

Two world premieres

The two cars that will be shown in the metal in front of a live audience for the first time at Geneva are the new Citroen Berlingo Multispace and the Berlingo Mountain Vibe Concept.

Dubbed as an all-new model by the company, we’re still reluctant and think that the ‘new’ Berlingo might just be a facelift of the old model. The recent photos released of the commercial van seem to confirm our presumptions.

For 2015, the Berlingo will be getting new LED DRL and a new grille up front that matches the new bumper. The Multispace version will offer some new options and a little more room in the back for bigger families.

Under the bonnet is where the biggest changes will happen as a new family of BlueHDI diesel engines will be introduced, in order to comply with Euro6 standards. In this regard, the all-new electric model should be the best pick of the range, promising a range of over 100 miles and a top speed of around 69 mph (111 km/h).

As for the Mountain Vibe Concept, details are scarce at the moment. A couple of photos of the new car have been published on the internet but no details were provided so we’ll have to wait for some official data on the issue.

The new Citroen C4

The other two cars that will definitely be of interest will be the C4 and C3 Picasso ‘Black Top’. The former will begetting new engines and a new six-speed automatic gearbox as well for the higher-tier models.

As far as visual changes go, the new headlamps and LED DRLs along with the revised taillights that now have a 3D effect should be just right. New 17” wheels will also be available.

It might seem like nothing much has changed but why mess with a recipe that works? And the C4 is one of the best selling models in the line-up at the moment.

Other models that will be put up for display will be the C4 Cactus and its Airflow 2l concept, the new Citroen C1 and C4 Picasso and GranD C4 Picasso. For motorsport enthusiasts the Citroen C-Elysee WTCC will also be on display.
