The guys from Edmunds.com have become a respected group over the years, publishing valuable judgements of the automotive industry. Recently, they put together a top of the 10 most desirable cars that are currently unavailable in the US.
Out of the 10 positions, 2 were occupied by BMWs, another proof that the German brand is extremely loved and appreciated in the US. The 2 models that were nominated, were the F20 1 Series and the F11 5 Series Touring.

A while back, we wrote about the fact that BMW might not be introducing the F20 1 Series in the United States and the reasons behind such a decision. However, on the North American continent the M135i is the car that is missed the most.

Sure, you can buy the BMW 135is Coupe but that is a few years dated and some customers would prefer the hatchback version to the Coupe. Performance-wise both cars are almost the same, the engines developing 320 HP on both and the same torque.

The second car, the 5 Series Touring is a benchmark in the wagon segment over the world but it's still missing from America. One of the reasons might be the popularity of the X1 that is almost the same in size.

However, if you live in North America you can still buy the 5 Series Gran Turismo, which is even bigger than the Touring and offers more space but it's a bit more expensive.

Other contestants include the Land Rover Defender, Volkswagen Polo GTI, Scirocco R, Amarok, the Ford Ranger, the Audi A1 and RS4 Avant and the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
