Twin-Turbo Mustang GT Delivers Insane 1,266 RWHP on Dyno

How much power can you squeeze from a 5.0-liter Coyote? Certainly a lot more than Roush's 675 HP and 585 lb-ft of torque we were telling you about last week.

How's that possible? Is continuously developing a twin-turbo system for more than a year a good enough answer for you? Well, it should be, because this is what the guys over at Power by the Hour have been doing for a while now.

And their dyno results are impressive and more than encouraging considering that this kit will be released in 2013. There's still a lot of work to be done, but their latest test have revealed 1,266 HP and 1,058 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels. The highest output for any Coyote-powered Mustang? Hell yeah!

Once put of the drag strip, the monster created by the Jon Lund, Jake Long and Ken Bjonnes trio should provide under 9-second quarter mile times and over 200 MPH for the standing mile. Until then, check out the clip below to hear that twin-turbo Coyote howl.
