Sant'Agata Bolognese has managed to deliver the unthinkable, namely a Lamborghini that, with a bit of effort on the driver's side, can be used as a daily driver. Despite that, when you unleash the 610 ponies of V10 occupying the middle section of the Bull, Lambo's commitment to natural aspiration makes full sense.
Even so, there are enough gearheads out there for whom the 610 hp output of the Huracan seems, well... a little weak. This is where the aftermarket side of the industry comes into play and it's almost puzzling to see what people will do to squeeze some extra power.
Now, there are US tuners like Underground Racing, who play in the 1,500-2,500 hp arena, allowing the Huracan to go from its stock 10.4s quarter mile time to the 7s arena.
At the other side of the financial scale, though, we have projects such as the one in the video below. Built by Dubai-based F Performance Garage, the Huracan you see here keeps its engine and transmission in stock form, but adds a pair of turbos in its quest for velocity glory.
As a result, the machine recently set a world record for stock engine and tranny Huracans, all thanks to a 9s pass at 153 mph (246 km/h). In theory, that means the UAE-built Huracan has around 850-900 hp.
Asking the factory powertrain to cope with almost 50 percent extra power might sound insane, but it's not like US developers haven't done it already. We're talking to the now-famous (in the tuning world) VF Engineering Huracan supercharger kit, which takes the output to 800 hp.
Since the setup we see here seems to push things even further and the costs of a Huracan engine rebuild are what you'd call "scary," we can't help but wonder - can you check out the footage below, showing TT Lambo going through the gears with many bangs on the Yas Marina Dragstrip, without cringing?
