Twike showed their TW4XP concept at the IAA Car Show in Frankfurt, Germany, as a tearer for the oncoming Twike 5 machine expected soon. With an upgraded design making this elecric vehicle looking even more desirable than ever before, Twike are really starting to offer a very appealing alternative even to small cars.

The Twike EVs are pretty much similar to common pedelec, but they come in a trike design which allows you to carry a passenger next to you. An electric motor assistes the operator in his efforts, adding the extra protection against elements the streamlined cockput offers.

Tech specs for the Twike 5 are unknown yet, but the performance is expected to increase. So far, the Twike 3 is available for € 16,772 ($22,679) without a battery pack. Batteries range between € 5,847 and € 11,694 ($7,906-15,812).

Definitely not the cheapest pedelec trike out there, but taking into account that the motor eats 5kWh for 100 km (62 miles) and delivers a top speed of 85 km/h (53 mph) and the top battery choice provides a 500 km (310 miles) range, things look a bit nicer, don't they?
