If the rumors from the Indian motorcycle market are true, we might see a new interesting small-displacement motorcycle revealed at the ongoing Auto Expo Show in Delhi, India. It's pretty obvious that we're talking about the twin sister of the BMW G310R, the TVS-badged version destined for the Asian markets.
The latest whispers say that TVS will unveil their all-new sport bike, a full-faired motorcycle based on the G310R platform, a platform developed in collaboration with BMW.

We knew that the two manufacturers joined hands in engineering a new bike that was to become BMW's first-ever small-displacement machine. Developed in Germany and built in India by TVS under Munchen's supervision, two bikes would first emerge from this platform.

One became the G310R and will be sold in international markets with a BMW badge, and the other will be sold by TVS with their own badge in India and other Asian countries.

More "310" bikes expected from the platform, both BMW and TVS

We talked to Zie Germans and chief designer Ola Stenegard confirmed that more bikes would be based on the new platform. More and more manufacturers are using this type of business, as it’s one of the most lucrative and efficient "recipes."

The G310R is a roadster, but it would be extremely easy for BMW to add low clip-ons, full fairings, and rearsets to change the stance of the bike and turn it into a sporty beast.

The same goes for TVS, which can use the same platform to deliver multiple bikes with similar DNA but addressing various riders, from the casual ones to people in search of roadsters or superbike looks.

Now, both TVS and BMW are still dead-silent regarding the future models, but since the Auto Expo Show takes place this very week, we believe we won't have to wait too long until news surfaces.
