Many car parts have gained a reputation beyond their actual capabilities. These include the NOS bottle, Honda's VTEC timing system, Mazda's rotary block and, of course, the turbo. Almost every car company in the world sells a turbocharger, yet it still has cult status, which makes it ideal for toys, memorabilia and other trinkets.
An Australian company decided to take advantage of its reputation and turned the turbo into a funny little keychain. The neat thing about it is that it's motorized, so the turbine spins up, and when it stops, blowoff valve noises are produced.

For those of you not in the know, BOVs is a pressure release system designed to prevent compressor surge, reducing wear on both the engine and the turbine. They work by venting the compressed air into the atmosphere, which produces that distinctive whistle noise.

Street FX wants $16 for one of these cool keychains, down from $24. That's a lot of money if you ask us, but because the company is stationed in Australia, we might not be talking USD here.

The keychain is also made from a zinc alloy, not plastic, so you don't have to worry as much about paint chipping. It comes out of the box with a battery included, so it's ready to impress your mates right out of the box.

Street FX has all sorts of crazy items, including spoons shaped like wrenches, so make sure to check them out.
