Way before drifting became the world phenomenon it is these days, there was a German manufacturer that build rear-wheel-drive cars with locking rear differentials, just for the thrills it offered. That manufacturer's name was BMW and the cars it built in that era (the 70s and 80s) are still very sought after, even today.
Go to any kind of drifting contest and you'll notice that out of the bunch of cars competing, well over half of them are BMWs, even in Japan, the homeland of drifting. Little did Kunimitsu Takahashi know this would happen, when he started drifting  back in the 70s.

Today we're in for a treat as we can indulge ourselves in some really awesome footage of a turbo BMW E46 M3 tandem drifting with a BMW 2002. The two runs look almost identical, the difference between the two being minimal.

However, if it was to pick a winner, who would you pick?
