TuningWerk Presents: BMW M135i

The F21 BMW M135i is an amazing car. Just as we found in our test drive, the bipolar character of this beast/gentleman is absolutely stunning. You can drive your kids to school with it and then race down to your office without even breaking a sweat.

However, for some people that isn't enough. Some might prefer one side of the car and for that, they turn to various tricks and upgrades done by professionals (preferably). One such professional company is Tuningwerk.

They just launched an enhanced M135i that is simply mean. The power output was increased by 130 HP to 450 HP by modifying the turbocharger. Of course, all that extra air had to be cooled off so they also installed an extra water cooler and a bigger intercooler, to keep everything in check.

Using roughly 33% extra power, other changes were needed too. A new exhaust was installed along with an ECU remap and a new flywheel that's 4.5 kg lighter and tougher at the same time.

On the handling side, new KW coil overs were installed, a LSD (limited slip differential), a new, complete braking system and 18 inch light-alloy wheels covered in Dunlop Direzza tires.

The end result is impressive and, even though we don't have any official numbers at the moment, we're guessing it's an incredibly quick car.
