These days, the aftermarket side of the industry offers tons and tons of possibilities, especially if you happen to drive a machine such as the Nissan GT-R or the Mercedes-AMG GT R. But this is the Internet, so why talk about the two beasts individually when we can see what happens when they're thrown at each other?
Such a battle took place earlier this month and since both machines made big power, it got extremely hot. Alas, the drivers decided to skip the drag strip and duked it out on the street.
As it happens in certain games, where the oldest person at the table gets to start the action, we'll kick things off with the Nissan GT-R, since this is now a senior platform (it was introduced back in 2007, remember?)
This example of the R35 has left its factory turbos behind, with this leading the list of mods on the car. As such, Godzila now makes 800 hp at the wheels, which means its crank muscle number sits well above 900 ponies.
When it comes to the Mercedes-AMG GT S, I'm not aware of its power figure, but I can tell you that the piece of Germany also features upgraded turbos, as part of a Stage Three build.
Returning to the velocity brawl between the two, this involved the standard rolling start, which causes less traffic disruption and, of course, irons out the differences between AWD and RWD toys.
The drivers and their passenger(s) went for the good old one-two-three and while I don't want to throw spoilers at you, I have to mention that one of the vehicles got way ahead of the other.
Now, please keep in mind to stay on the safe side - get off the streets and head over to the strip when the speeding battle urges show up, okay?
