The C8 Corvette obviously didn't invent the bang-for-buck recipe, even though the Chevy seems to have taken the game to a whole new level. In fact, most American performance vehicles are brilliant when it comes to giving much more expensive rivals, usually for the Old Continent, a hard time for much less money. And we are now here to deliver an example of the sorts that involves the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
By now, anybody with an interesting in going fast on land has seen what the 707-pony Jeep can do. However, given the tuning-friendly nature of its Hellcat motor, it didn't take much for the Russian example we have here to be pushed to about 800 ponies.
Even so, this kind of light modding allows the GC Trackhwak do easily do away with a stock Lamborghini Urus (think: 650 hp), as you'll get to notice in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page.
Having the completed the same challenge, the slab of America ended up taking on somebody its own size, namely an also-modded Porsche Cayene Turbo.
The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 of the German had been fitted with goodies like a custom downpipe, sport catalytic converters and the mandatory ECU play. As such, the unit now delivers around 815 hp.
Fortunately, all the battles we have here took place at a Russian drag strip, while the usual standing starts were mixed with rolling takeoff adventures.
Now, you can check out the Trackhawk duking it out with the Urus at the 4:31, 6:18, 7:26 and 8:50 points of the clip, with the last bringing a rolling start. As for the brawls involving the Jeep and the Cayenne Turbo, the action kicks off at the 14:20 point of the video.
"Why so many races, I hear you asking?" Well, let's just say the drivers were determined to find out the actuall winners.
