Tuned Hellcat Redeye Drag Races Modded Corvette ZR1, Elimination Follows

Well, as you've noticed in the title above, we are now here to talk about a battle that involves members of the tuner camp - Hellcats have been fighting 'Vettes ever since these warranty-aided blown Challengers showed up, even though the muscle beasts were battling the Z06 incarnation of the Corvette back then.

Returning to the brawl we have here, we'll have to trust the owners when it comes to the newfound muscle numbers of the American machines.

To be more precise, the Hellcat Redeye punishes its rear tires with no less than 910 ponies (these are wheel horses, so we can talk about a crank output of well over 1,000 hp). As for the Corvette ZR1, the Chevy comes with 750 rwhp, which makes for about 880 horses at the crankshaft).

Then again, we can't neglect the scale footprint difference between the supercar and the muscle car, since these are separated by around 750 lbs. Oh, and note that both these toys come in eight-speed automatic form.

Now, the owners of the supercharged 6.2-liter monsters decided to skip the drag strip and duked it out on the street (please don't use this as an example). Not only was this an unsafe decision due to the potential traffic risks, but the unprepped surface caused serious issues, despite the hooners going for the good old rolling start.

All the wheelspin caused the drivers to duke it out on three separate occasions, with the gear heads deciding to heat up the tires for the final run.
