October is going to be a pretty hot month. For one thing, this year's edition of SEMA will be a blast, while gaming fans will get to enjoy the new NFS: Heat title (actually, the two are connected, with a NFS kit coming to the Vegas venue as a real build). Of course, while many gear heads are waiting patiently for the said events, other prefer to enjoy the racing live.
In fact, we are now here to talk about an example delivered by the latter camp. We're looking at a drag racing involving a Subaru STI and a Ford Mustang GT, so yes, this is Need For Speed material.
Now, both players have rather strong profiles, so these aren't the default cars you get in your garage when entering the game.
For instance, a dyno sheet published by the driver of the STI shows the machine deliver 730 horsepower, with this probably being the power at the wheels.
Speaking of muscle, the five-oh of the 'Stang has been gifted with full bolt-ons, including an E85 setup. And yes, the resulting soundtrack is the kind that given one goosebumps.
As for this import vs. muscle drag race, the battle goes on for quite a while, as you'll be able to notice in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page.
And, with the risk of throwing spoilers your way, I have to mention that we're dealing with a pretty even battle, which only helps keep the spark alive. In fact, if you're willing to be on one of the sides, now would be a good time to pick sides in this velocity fight.
Now, please don't use the shenanigan we have here as an example. In other words, head over to the drag strip when the right foot starts asking for some power, okay?
