Tuned Ferrari F12 with Almost 800 HP Goes Drag Racing

When you own a Ferrari F12berlinetta, the drag strip isn't exactly the first destination that comes to mind. Don't get us wrong, the V12 Maranello machine delivers superb straight line performance, but its assets mean it will be even better at other activities.

You see, while an overly boosted Evo or a beater with a Big Block swap and nitrous can bring the same kind of results as the Prancing Horse, the F12 can deliver superior thrills. From a track attack, where the F12's sublime handling will surface, to a cross-country trip, which would allow the Ferrari's Grand Tourer side to shine, the examples are many.

However, given the ferocious nature of the thing, it's hard to hold anything against the owner of the F12 in the video below for engaging in a drag racing session.

It's worth mentioning we're not dealing with a stock F12berlinetta here. Instead, this Prancing Horse has been massaged by PP-Performance. The upgrades aren't massive, but they're enough to make a difference.

To be more precise, the V12 was gifted with a BMC Race filter, a Frequency Intelligent exhaust system that ditches the catalytic converters, as well as the mandatory ECU remap. As you can imagine, the aural effect of the changes is the most obvious one, so this Ferrari screams in a way that lights up the entire strip - there's no way of ignoring the benefits of a naturally aspirated motor.

When it leaves the factory, the F12berlinetta's 6,262cc V12 delivers 740 PS (730 HP) and 509 lb-ft (690 Nm) of twist. Nevertheless, after the treatment mentioned above, the Fezza allows its driver to play with 795 ponies and a peak torque of 538 lb-ft (729 Nm). Oh, and by the way, we didn't mention the Evo and the U.S. muscle above by accident - hit the "play" button below and it will all make sense.
