Tuned C8 Corvette Has Extreme Aero, Roof Scoop

The Internet won't stop playing with the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette and thus we keep getting fresh renders, with most of these portraying the mid-engined machine in tuner form.

So, here we are, back in the game, talking about the latest pixel play of the kind. Now, somebody who's not accustomed to how things work on social media these days might say that the 'Vette we have here has been given a serious visual transformation.

However, here's what Karen Adivi, the pixel wielder behind the stunt, had to say about hiw work: "Finally getting to play around with this thing. First iteration is a simple widebody with a roof scoop,"

Well, I have to agree with the Photoshop master and I'm not even comparing this GM toy with the kind of machines portrayed in other renderings.

Instead, I'm referring to the extreme builds we get to see in the real world, with one of the best examples of the sort (let's stay in mid-engined land, shall we?) being this Lamborghini Huracan "rally car".

Heck, that roof scoop is rather appealing, at least if you're aiming to give your car the aftermarket twist - why wouldn't you want to keep that engine compartment cool?

After all, the middle section of the Corvette might just need some fresh air once the tuners have their way with it.

Seriously, if this rendering portraying a twin-turbo C8 that promises to offer 1,000 horses for $100,000 stands for the current social media dream, can you imagine what aftermarket developers will do once the GM halo car lands in dealerships next year?

If you're still not convinced, just check out what's happening with the 2020 Supra. The new Mk V was born famous thanks to the aftermarket-built reputation of its 2JZ-animated predecessor, so the factory car debut at the same with a swap (want to try and guess the engine?). A few months later, Toyota tuners seemd determined to one-up BMW modders (the 2020 Supra packs the BMW B58 engine, remember?), with the current record sitting at 620 ponies (and counting).
