With the winter in full swing in large parts of the world, it’s always a clever idea to remind people there are still some sunny areas out there. The temperatures are just right on the Hennessey track, though, for a bit of growling and high-speed maneuvering alongside an upgraded C8 Chevrolet Corvette.
In between so many crossover SUVs and larger than life pickup trucks (some with six wheels), it’s always great to remember that Hennessey is also lovingly taking care of the classic sports car segment. And we’re not just talking about their own brand-new hypercar, but also about some of the most popular vehicles out there.

Without a doubt, one of the most eagerly anticipated customization programs from Hennessey must be the one revolving around the best-selling C8 Chevrolet Corvette. They are taking their sweet time with the “development of (a) wide variety of high-performance parts and upgrade systems,” though.

As a quick reminder, back in May 2020, 15-time SCCA National Champion and Venom F5 chief engineer John “Heinrocket” Heinricy took a NOS-tuned 650-hp C8 ‘Vette past the 200 mph (321 kph) mark for the first time, hitting 205.1 mph (330 kph) at the Continental Tire Proving Grounds in Uvalde, Texas.

Since then, Hennessey promised not just a twin-turbo system but also an entire raft of upgrades – including “wheel & tires, suspension & brake, carbon fiber body components and more.” For now, they’re done with just the exhaust and wheel setups.

Which is cause for celebration, Hennessey-style, at the track. And, because social media beauty shots are never enough, it’s always great when the stills get support from some rumbling and bumbling car footage. By the way, we encourage everyone to notice Hennessey’s way of doing things – all the fun takes place on the track, not the street.

The exhaust goes for $3,495 and brings an additional 21 hp (along with a rad soundtrack) while also lowering the weight by around 10 lbs (4.5 kg). The wheel set, meanwhile, is priced at $5,995, with the 19- front/20-inch rear forged alloys bring additional saves of 22 lbs (almost 10 kg).
