The popularity it’s enjoying is way beyond what BMW expected, all the reviews so far claiming that the new M Performance Automobile is probably the best performance coupe in its segment at the moment. Earlier today, we even saw it pitted against the CLA45 AMG and the results were not flattering for the Merc.

For some people though, the performance of the Bimmer is not enough. They want it to be even fiercer and more capable both on and off the track. In that regard BMW launched the M Performance Parts catalogue that is made up of various bits and pieces that will make your M235i more like an M2.

Amongst them you’ll find such things as an M Performance Exhaust or the highly anticipated limited-slip-differential but also exterior tuning parts.

Those include new front splitters, stripes for the body, mirror covers and bicolor wheels. However, they are a bit pricy and for less money you can actually tune your car to perfection.

That’s what seemingly happened to this BMW that was just spotted near the Nurburgring, in the small German town of Nurburg. From the looks of things, the owner installed a new front spoiler splitter, a nice black stripe on the sides, blacked out the roof and the kidney grille and added new M Performance side sills, completely changing the look of his car.

Having reviewed the car earlier this year, we can now say that all of those add-ons work for it and that if there’s one thing it needs, it’s stiffer springs. Other than that there’s really nothing we can complain about on the M235i.
