Tuned B&B Volkswagen Tiguan Develops 300 HP

Volkswagen seems to be one of the most attractive automakers nowadays when talking about aftermarket models as more and more tuners around the world turn their eyes to models produced the German brand. The last in this series is the company's compact SUV, the Tiguan, which got tuned by B&B with numerous styling accessories and engineering components.

First of all, let's talk a bit about the engine performance. The base gasoline 1.4 TSI 150 hp is now capable of developing 190, 200 or 220 horsepower, depending on the power increase, Carscoop writes. In addition, the 2.0 TFSI 170 hp unit is now capable of producing 220, 240, 280 or even 300 hp while the 2.0 TFSI 200 hp engine raises the overall performance bar to 240, 250, 286 and 300 horsepower.

Speaking of diesel engines, the 2.0-liter TDI unit that developed 140 horsepower with standard settings puts out 174 or 200 horsepower. The 2.0-liter TDI 170 hp on the other hand is now capable of developing a maximum of 220 horsepower.

As said in the first paragraph, B&B also brought a series of styling modifications, including a whole new bodykit that makes the Tiguan a bit more aggressive. Exterior styling highlights include new side skirts plus multiple alloy wheel design in 18-, 19- and 20-inch format.

Volkswagen Tiguan first saw daylight in 2006 in the form of a concept vehicle displayed at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The first production model was officially showcased at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show while sales began in 2008 and early 2009 in various markets across the world.
