Tuned Audi RS7 Pulls 10s Quarter Mile Run, Roasts Lamborghini Huracan

Yes, there is a reasonable explanation for the massive gap separating the Lamborghini Huracan's nose from the Audi RS7's rear end in the screenshot above.
In fact, there are two main ingredients that helped the sleek RS trample all over the Sant'Agata Bolognese machine. The first has to do with the start of the race. And while we can't see the initial part of the battle in the video below, it's obvious that something went wrong with the Raging Bull.

Then there's the fact that the already monstrous Audi wasn't stock. The Ingolstadt beast managed to pull a 10s quarter mile run. Interestingly, this makes the RS7 about 0.7 seconds quicker than stock, which probably means an ECU remap was all the thing needed to go that fast.

As for the V10 supercar, the Huracan may have had a poor start, but you can see the two-seater catching up along the way (not in time to win this one, though) - notice the trap speeds of the two cars are very close. For the record, a stock Huracan can complete the 1,320 feet sprint in as little as 10.4 seconds.

And while the result of this battle might seem exaggerated, that's far from the truth. The fight only shows us a real life situation where a tuned Audi with five doors can leave a late Lambo driver trailing in its wake. So a similar scenario could happen to Lambo drivers who like to race on the street.

The two octane behemoths met at the zMAX Dragway in Concord, NC. And this was no "ordinary" drag event, as we're talking about an adventure included in this year's goldRush Rally.

The 8th edition of the event sees over 100 go-fast machines driving across the country between May 13 and May 21, so we expect to hear more from the adventure until it comes to an end.
