Truck Rolls Aways by Itself, Driver Reports Theft

Any good driver knows that after parking your car, you should leave it in gear and with the handbrake on to make sure it doesn't roll away in your absence. But when it comes to automatic gearboxes, things are not exactly the same.

A guy from California called the cops to report his truck had been stolen while he was shopping for some soda before a shipping trip in a Laguna Beach, CA 7-Eleven, celebitchy.com has learned. So here's the whole story.

The driver parked his car in front of the shop, went to do some shopping and when he returned into the parking lot he discovered that his vehicle had disappeared. Thinking that some carjackers had stolen his car, he immediately called the police to report the theft.

However, he later found out that no one had stolen his truck. Rather it rolled rolled away on its own, turned slightly and landed in a parking spot across the street. Fortunately no one got hurt and the vehicle wasn't damaged too much.

Surprisingly, the driver claims that he left it in gear and with the handbrake on. Then, how come it rolled away in this case? Complete mystery...

Besides, if you pay attention to the video, you' ll see that the truck started rolling away just the moment when the driver turned his back on it. Then, how come he didn't notice it?

As far as we're concerned, there are two possible explanations for the mystery. We might assume that the driver is simply lying about applying the handbrake so that he finds a good excuse for the incident. Or it's possible that his truck is not in a good working condition, the handbrake is broken and then, the mystery is solved. So, what do you think?
