Truck Crashes into Toyota Prius in the US

Driving a truck is considerably more difficult and more dangerous than driving a regular passenger car, regardless of where you are in the world. Now, while crashes from Russia are of the more violent type and happen at high speeds, trucks crash into cars all the time.
In this video, a truck cuts off a Toyota Prius, and hits it pretty hard, in the side. It is not the kind of crash which could injure the occupants of the hybrid in any way, but it does go to show that choosing the right lane and looking out and anticipating possible dangers is highly important.

This particular crash took place in the US, where the Toyota Prius is very popular, especially in California. We say this time the level of fault is split equally between the two drivers.

Firstly, the Prius driver should not have been on the right-most lane, if he was planning to go straight ahead, while the truck driver could have used the mirrors to see that there was a car there, which was not indicating the intention to go right.
