Troy Bayliss Crashes Again, Fractured Vertebrae, Rib, Collarbone and Thumb

Three-time champion and Superbike icon Troy Bayliss crashed once more in the Australian Senior Track Championship. The crash took place at a fairly high speed upon entering a turn and the Australian rider did not come out too well.

According to his own tweets, Bayliss suffered a fractured collarbone, broken several ribs, a thumb and some vertebrae. The doctors are not too happy with his condition, as it looks like this accident also affected one of the older fractures in his back.

However, if you think that these new injuries are enough to make Troy consider a less dangerous life, you're wrong. The Aussie even tweeted somewhat annoyed: "All good , just need little rest , Fractured Vertebrae, Rib , Collarbone and thumb , don't bother telling me I'm too old.


As for the rest of his injuries, he also posted photos of his swollen thumb, broken collarbone and all, with funny comments such as "Collarbone is great thanks", "Hand is sweet", or "Can't sleep , can't shower, stink like Bartard, signs of a good weekend."

He even posted a photo from the ambulance, with the winner of the race holding his medal. Seeing so many people smiling in that photo is a bit unsettling, we must admit.

Bayliss' friend and former racer Loris Capirossi also replied saying that maybe it was indeed time to consider enjoying life with less competition. Bayliss' most recent injury was a broken leg some three months ago,
