Tron Legacy Zero G LightCycles Drive on Walls

The Tron Legacy fever seems to be taking over the world, as the movie launch fastly approaches. Disney’s latest 3D movie has made many companies turn their attention to the development of related merchandise, such as the UD Replicas riding suits, the helmet from Les Ateliers Ruby, and even LightCycle street ready bikes.

Furthermore, the 2010 sequel to the 1982 science fiction film has even led to the creation of some cool film-related toys, such as the Tron Zero G LightCycles.

What is really interesting about these toys is that they replicate the look and feel of the actual LightCycles, and that they can be driven across floors and up walls and ceilings, coming with an IR remote control. The remote control can also be used as a charging station for the toy’s rechargeable batteries.

Furthermore, the Tron Zero G LightCycles even emit a trail of light that causes the opponent cycle to fall off a wall or ceiling if it crosses the trail.

“Okay, it’s not as satisfying as watching them ‘de-rez’ into oblivion, but until we find a way of zapping ourselves into our computers it’ll have to do. Besides, it takes considerable skill to avoid a jetwall when you’re driving upside down,” the description on Firebox reads.

“You control the high-tech action via a stylish twin toggle infra-red transmitter that doubles up as a charging unit for your Light Cycle’s rechargeable battery. It’s even badged up with the iconic Tron logo. Talk about movie tie-in-tastic,” they add.

If you’re a Tron fan, this toy can be yours for GBP34.99 at Firebox.
