The Tron riding gear comes in two flavors, namely ‘Sam Flynn’, based on the Tron: Legacy’s main character played by Garrett Hedlund, and ‘Quorra’ taken from the suit worn by Olivia Wilde.
The suits comprise all a rider needs to stay safe while on the road, namely jacket, pants, gloves and boots, which can be bought individually or as a package. They feature CE approved body armor, form molded leather detailing, light sensitive reflective accents, heavy duty stretch spandex inserts, silicone hexagon print, as well as form molded leather disk.
Reportedly, the materials used in the Tron riding apparel are the same as those used by the costume designers for the movie itself, TRON: Legacy.
However, these suits don’t come in cheap, as the male version costs $995 and the complete female suit is $899.
The company says the suits are available with a 3-month payment plan, sales close January 7, 2011, and deliveries are scheduled for the second quarter of 2011.
Meanwhile, if you have some spare $55,000 to spend, you might also consider buying an actual Tron LightCycle replica from the guys at Parker Brothers Choppers, who have made a pretty good job recreating the virtual ride from the movie.
