Tron Legacy Lightcycle Replica Up for Grabs

Some of you don’t know it yet, but once the upcoming ‘Tron Legacy’ movie will launch at cinemas, you’d wish to have taken advantage of the latest offering from the guys behind the Batpod replica. The team at Parker Brothers did a great job when asked to create a special custom bike specifically for this movie, and now they are offering five one-off replicas on eBay.

Each bike will be black with an accent color - 5 bikes with 5 different accent colors (red, blue, yellow, green, and orange). These will be the only known running versions to exist, all built for everyday street use. The guys say each bike will come with either a high powered electric motor or a high performance gasoline motor and transmission depending on the buyers' needs.

It’s easy to see from the pictures why this model was dubbed Lightcycle and what it is that makes it so special. The wheels are custom made 22" x12" dual hubless wheels with custom made tires by Hoosier, the frame is 2" cold rolled and boxed hardened steel with carbon fiber/fiberglass bodies, while the accent colors are neon glowing from behind frosted plexiglass and can be turned off or on at the touch of a button. Not to mention the unique riding position...

The back cover opens up at the push of a button and there is a neon glow that exits from the back of the bike to resemble the lightcycles colored light trail from the original game. Buyers also get a Tron style helmet (not DOT approved) and a YouTube uplink to follow the progress of the bike until completion.

The ‘Tron Legacy’ movie will heat theaters worldwide this December. You can watch a teaser trailer right here. However, we have to warn you that after watching it, you will likely get no sleep until you get the $35k you need to make one of these bikes yours...
