Remember the Ford Bronco? Yes, that one! It's such a shame the Blue Oval stopped making it in 1996, replacing the butch two-door SUV with the far more family-oriented Expedition. All the more reason why this Troller T4 thingy should be sold in the States.
It's called the Troller T4 Concept and it's a spruced up variant of the utilitarian T4 that Ford sells exclusively on the Brazilian market. Back in June, Ford Brazil revealed a redesigned variant of the Troller T4, but this concept version is just that little more special than its production-ready sibling.
The two-tone brown-and-beige exterior finish is the dominating exterior difference over the normal T4, but even the rather mundane winch up front, snorkel and the BF Goodrich rubber hike this car's appeal.
It's such a shame the T4 Concept will head to the Sao Paulo Auto Show and miss out SEMA 'cos let's be very frank here - a modern-day Ford Bronco is more like it than a boy racer-ish Hyundai or Kia sedan.
Apart from the exterior makeover and some special treatment for the inside, this concept is all Troller T4 both inside and out, which makes us wonder why doesn't Ford throw more equipment as standard to sell this thing in the U.S. under the Bronco moniker.
Too bad the typical North American customer isn't too fond of the cluttery sound the 197 horsepower 3.2-liter five-cylinder oil burner makes. Furthermore, the six-speed manual that equips the Troller T4 isn't a hot seller in this part of the world as well. Bummer.
