Triumph Motorcycles will make its debut on Indian soil this year, on November the 28th, Autocar reports.
After the warm welcome Triumph enjoyed last year as they brought their bikes over to the 2012 Auto Expo, the British manufacturer decided to take a more daring step in this new market.

Still the info is yet a bit fuzzy, as we knew that Triumph was rather keen on skipping importing the CBU bikes and was going the CKD way, readying a production plant in Narsapura. The facility seems like it needs some more time to start production, and we heard that a smaller workshop in Manesar, near New Delhi started to assemble the first bikes.

According to Indian sources, Triumph will sell 6 bikes for the time being: Bonneville, Street Triple and Speed Triple, Daytona 675, Tiger 800 XC and the flagship Rocket III, but whether all these or only certain models will be available from the beginning remains unknown.

Also unknown are the size and structure of he dealership network, but we know this info will be available quite soon. Needless to say how big the advantage of selling CKD units is over importing CBU and adding the huge Indian taxes to the final price...
