Mr. White brought Toyota to Grand-Am racing, IndyCar, NHRA and USAC, but probably the most noticeable contribution was bringing the manufacturer in NASCAR in 2004 when it started competing in the Truck Series.

"Lee has contributed enormously to Toyota Motorsports in his 15 years with TRD," said Toyota Group Vice President and General Manager Bill Fay in the statement. "His leadership has resulted in victories and championships in a broad spectrum of racing series.

White will continue to work as a Special Advisor to TRD and Toyota Motorsport until the end of 2013.
