The fact that MX and freestyle icon Travis Pastrana often does things that are way out of line if not downright crazy is old news. He has performed some of the most insane tricks back in the day and has since coached and inspired a new generation of riders.
However, Travis has never abandoned his fellow riders who got injured, knowing how hard is for athletes to one day be unable to do what they wanted. Seeing Doug Henry riding again a dirt bike, jumping on off-road courses and doing backflips at Pastranaland despite being paralyzed from the waist down can tell a thing or two abut the amazing things Travis is doing at his ranch.

This applies to military wounded in combat and who subsequently suffered amputations, so this is why it should not come as a total surprise seeing double and triple amputees rolling down ramps on trikes and having fun attempting to do backflips.

Some might say that these guys have nothing to lose anyway, after suffering from such extensive wounds in combat, but this is not why they are here. They don't just try this just because there is hardly an injury to make their lives worse..

They have found true support and understanding, and this type of sport, crazy and extreme as you might call it, gives them purpose and helps them find new strength where most of other people believe there is almost none left.

So this short piece is not that much about stunts, but about the power to carry on and the amazing things Travis Pastrana can achieve by helping others achieve. Hats (and helmets) off, Mr. Pastrana!
