Vehicle monitoring devices maker Tracker recorded over £12.5 million (€14,8 million) worth of stolen cars last year, that were recovered using their systems. Mercedes-Benz vehicles represented over £2 million (€2.3 million).
Although Mercedes is not that popular like in Albania, it is still one of the most desired car in UK, with local celebrities opting for SLK and SLS models. But it doesn’t resumes to celebrities only, as business men or other wealthy groups fancies the E-Class, ML and the C-Class as well.

“The theft of vehicles has become much more sophisticated and in some instances brutal, as criminals find more ways to steal desirable, high-end cars. Installing aTRACKER significantly increases the chances of a stolen vehicle being recovered and returned to its owner.Over 90% of cars fitted with a TRACKER device are successfully located and returned to owners, usually within 24 hours.” explained Stuart Chapman, Police Relationship Manager for Tracker.

Being on the market for 20 years, Tracker leads the way in vehicle tracking solutions since 1993, recovering over £471 million worth of stolen vehicles in the meantime. Also, Tracker is the only tracking device system that is used by all Police Forces in the UK. The device is small and easy to conceal in every vehicle as no antennas or cables are visible, still managing to transmit signal from underground parking lots or shipping containers.
