Track-Focused Jaguar XKR-S Spotted at the Ring

You may remember that we reported in February that Jaguar was considering a track-focused version of the XKR-R. Well, Nurburgring spies are busy people, and they’ve just shot footage of an XKR-R driving at great speed around the famed German track.
But, it was no ordinary XKR-S, as it had strange-looking canard-type fins on the nose of the car, under which we find a massive splitter, a proper racing wing on the back and what appear to be race-spec brakes. This all just goes to confirm the earlier rumor that Jaguar were working on this car all along.

Other details, except what we can see are unavailable, but we’re expecting Jaguar to pit this new car against cars which were designed to be track-focused in the first place, like the 911 GT3-RS - it will be interesting to see a head-to-head confrontation between these two.
