The dust has settled down and the three Toyota special TRD editions have just appeared, coming with more roughness and off-road capabilities for enthusiasts and those who want their vehicle to stand out in the crowd.
The TRD Pro Series are inspired by Toyota’s storied off-road racing heritage and numerous victories in the Baja 500 and Baja 1000 endurance races. The desert experience has transformed these three Toyota models in all-terrain-conquering off-roaders to take their drivers places they never dreamed possible.
Available only on 4x4 Toyota Tundra, Tacoma and 4Runner models, the TRD Pro Series come equipped with Bilstein shock absorbers and remote reservoirs to increase wheel travel, TRD-tuned front springs, aluminum front skid plate, black special TRD wheels wrapped in off-road performance tires, TRD floor mats and shift knob as well as the iconic front grille and TRD Pro badges.
The three models will be available in three colors - Black, White and that special Inferno finish you can see in the video bellow. Unfortunately, there are no engine upgrades included and a TRD double exhaust is the only thing you will get. So if you want to beat the Raptor, you’ll still have to separately order a TRD supercharger.
The automaker said nothing about pricing but has promised to keep them affordable. The models are said to go on sale later this autum.
