Yesterday, Toyota has unveiled its brand new TRD Pro series, which will include Tundra, Tacoma and 4Runner models with improved off-road capabilities and looks, at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show.
Some Toyota enthusiasts were hoping the Japanese automaker will finally launch a rival for the Ford SVT Raptor, but the Chicago reveal brought a Tundra that won’t match the Blue Oval-badged truck in terms of horsepower and torque. However, this doesn’t mean the upcoming Tundra TRD Pro isn’t something to look at, especially with all that TRD stuff on it.
Besides the Bilstein shocks, tuned front springs, new front grille and black wheels that will be coming with the entire TRD Pro series, the Tundra will also get TRD-tuned springs with 2-inch lift, decreased spring rate, dual exhaust system, TRD Pro quarter panel bed stamping, unique interior seat color with red stitching and an exclusive instrument panel ornament insert.
Pricing has yet to be announced, but Toyota said the TRD Pro Tundra will arrive in dealerships in the fall of 2014. Until then, you can check out our live photos with the new vehicle fromt he 2014 Chicago Auto Show.
