The Toyota Tundra is nowhere to be found in standard Australian dealerships, where the Hilux is offered instead, but it seems like the super hot TRD Pro version will find a way there somehow.
According to a CarAdvice report, the Toyota TRD Pro could reach Australia’s shores, but not as a standard dealership entry. Nope, instead you might find it at Queensland importer and conversion specialists Performax International starting next year.

Performax International also brings and converts the standard Tundra models for the Australian market, with the top Platinum and 1794 versions starting at AU$120,000 plus taxes, which kinda’ makes you look/feel like a supercar owner.

For those of you who are new to all this TRD thing, Toyota Racing Development (TRD) branch created a set of three performance packs for the more utilitarian of the Toyota models, namely the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra.

Each one of them has custom Bilstein shock absorbers with remote reservoirs to raise the suspension, custom front springs, aluminum front skid plates, special badging as well as TRD floor mats and shift knobs.

The Tundra TRD Pro comes with all of those plus a set of all-black 18-inch TRD alloy rims wrapped in Michelin ORP tires, a TRD dual exhaust system, TRD PRO quarter panels bed stamping, unique interior seat color with red stitching and a revised instrument panel.

Power comes from the same 5.7-liter V8 making 310 hp and 327 lb-ft (443 Nm) of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission sending motion to all four wheels.

Back in the States, the TRD Pro Tundra starts at $41,285 (AU$47,235), but judging the trip to Australia, import taxes and right-hand-drive conversion, it could buy it for about AU$116,000.
