The company will showcase its new technology at the Makuhari Messe international convention complex in Chiba City from October 7 through 11. The production ready FCV (Mirai) hydrogen powered sedan will be among the stuff being presented there, but that’s not the icing on the cake.

Another major exhibit will be a visionary concept for future energy usage helped by hydrogen-fueled vehicles to aid with the power supply. Think of your fuel cell vehicle doubling as an electricity generator for your future solar-powered home. During the day you got sun-power but by night or in bad weather you can plug in your car to the house grid and go hydrogen-power.

The T-Connect next-generation telematics service will be another important thing to see. The service got launched in August this year and includes the “Agent” voice-operated concierge service as well as the “Apps” service that lets drivers download software for use in car navigation systems.

Among others, the exhibit will include a high-pressure hydrogen gas dispenser for FCV refueling, the Ha:mo optimized urban transport system and the Toyota Open Vehicle Architecture (TOVA, should not be confused with Toyota New Global Architecture).
