The Japanese automaker Toyota sold just under ten million vehicles last year, winning its crown back from General Motors as the world’s biggest vehicle maker.
Now, Toyota relies on the weaker yen and strong demand for hybrids to produce more that 10 million vehicles this year, expecting an output of 10.1 million units. The global production plan is expected to be revealed Friday after Toyota reports earnings.
So far, Toyota is doing great, despite the Europe market decline and Chinese “protests” against Japan. And the sales look to grow even more, as the newly released RAV4 compact crossover, Corolla sedan, Auris hatch and Lexus IS sport sedan are the most talked cars at the moment.
